Ancient Roman Coins Found Along Tampa, Florida Coastline

Tampa area metal detector Frank Abreu made some interesting finds in an undisclosed location on a beach somewhere near Tampa/Clearwater FL.

It looks like maybe the Romans might have beaten Christopher Columbus to Florida?..

We might never know but the beaches along the Florida coast always turn up something new!

Another awesome metal detecting find from an undisclosed beach in Florida by Hunting4History using a MineLab CTX3030 to pop this beautiful gold 1 Escudo out of the sand!

Recovered this beautiful Spanish gold 1781 Carlos III 1 Escudo. Located with the @minelabdetecting CTX 3030 equipped with the 17inch coil at a depth of 9 inches. Artifact was found in the same area I uncovered the 1700s shipwreck spike. This reaffirms that every find can be a clue leading to even bigger discoveries.
